Speaking during the Holy Ghost Service for the month of October, Adeboye wondered why some state governors are insisting that Nigerians must take the vaccine before gaining access to churches and banks when there are not enough doses available in the country.

Recall that Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki had directed that all residents in the state must take the Covid-19 vaccine and obtain a card before having access to public places within the state.

Reacting to the directive, Adeboye said that it means 90 percent of the Nigerian population will not be able to access their money.

According to him, people will need to go back to the old days of keeping money under their pillows. He not only slammed the government for its decision, but he also described it as 'laughable'.
